Sharks Teeth Fossil on Matrix

A genuine fossilised shark's tooth from the species Otodus.

As sharks are predominantly soft bodied creatures only the teeth and back bone are generally preserved. The teeth date from the Paleocene to Eocene period and is around 50 million years old, discovered on the Khouribga Plateau Morocco. They are found during local phosphate mining.
