When the daughters of an antique dealer and an astrophysicist meet, they indulge in their natural urge to tell stories. Designers Marie Macon and Anne-Laure Lesquoy do exactly this with their collection of amazing hand embroidered jewellery since 2009.
By distorting the process of embroidery, they both imagined small jewels allowing to mend our moth-eaten cashmere sweaters, stained trench-coats, and all the other sentimental items in our closets we cannot resolve to get rid of.
This crocodile patch is hand-embroidered in Portugal; their designs are innovative with humour, eccentric, sometimes unconventional, yet always stylish.
Instructions: Place the patch wherever you wish. Image side up, heat-sealable side on the cloth. To apply, lay a clean dishcloth on the positioned patch and press a medium-hot iron gently until the patch sticks to the cloth (approx. 10 seconds). Secure by ironing the back of the cloth (again for 10 seconds). Always carry out a preliminary test with the hot iron on an invisible part of the garment. If the clothing does not resist the heat, you can always fasten your patch by stitching it.
