Living in the Arctic Ocean, the Beluga, also known as a white whale, is one of the smallest species of whale. Roaming in groups known as pods, which can range from a handful of whales to several hundred - they have a highly developed and diversified language, employing clicks and whistles to communicate with one another; and also have sonar, enabling them to navigate watery mazes and icy channels.
